Mecca – Ercie (Erice) Wildman Winland, 80, died at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Vermillion County Hospital at Clinton. She was a member and treasurer for many years of the Mecca United Methodist Church. Mrs. Winland was a past president of the VFW Auxiliary Paul Taylor Post, a member of Ladies Aid at Mecca, the Monday Night Ladies Bowling League and the Vermillion County Hospital Auxiliary. She was employed for several years as a sales clerk for the G.C. Murphy Store at Rockville. Born July 5, 1900, at Harvey, Ill., she was a daughter of Columbus and Jenny Allen Myers. In 1918, she married James S Wildman, who preceded her in death. In 1975, she married Abe Berry, who also preceded her in death. And in 1980, she married Herschel Winland, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Helen Bills of Rockville, Vivian Holliday of Rockville and Barbara Plank of Montezuma; four sons, Edward Wildman of San Francisco, Calif., Malcolm Wildman of Mecca, Terrence Wildman of Danville and Max Wildman of Bloomington; 26 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two stepchildren; four stepgrandchildren; a brother, Vance Myers of Bloomingdale; and three sisters, Ruby Kunkle and Marie Bowman of Kingman, and Berniece Smith of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by two daughters, a grandson and two brothers. Services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Tudor-Herrick-Miller Memorial Chapel at Rockville with the Rev. Lester Niles officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery, south of Wallace. Friends may call at the chapel after 3:30 p.m. today. smc
